Welcome to TEDxAuckland

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx.

TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together

to share a TED-like experience. Our event is call TEDx (place), where

x=independently organized TED event. At our TEDx (place) event, TEDTalks

video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.

The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but

individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

Riveting Talks by remarkable people, free to the world at TEDxAuckland 2009

Global financial crisis.  Recession. Things getting tougher. Some are even predicting the worst of times. But we think it's a time to regroup, re-evaluate, to think and then to dream. Because the world of ideas has never mattered more.
New Zealand has always faced challenges, with our location, the size of our population and the lack of natural resources. But our innovation, invention and attitude are alive and flourishing and our  ability to make things happen is truly remarkable.

At TEDxAuckland we will be in pursuit of that future and ideas worth doing. Inspired by TED, we're assembling an incredible lineup of speakers whose ideas and ingenuity will thrill, enlighten and inspire and it's here that the key to a better future will be found.
